FY25 Street Law Newsletter
Written and designed for Georgetown University Law Center's Street Law Clinic
Published in February 2025
Georgetown Law's Street Law Clinic was the first of its kind, established in 1973. For this Clinic, law students go to middle and high school classrooms to teach students about becoming engaged citizens through civics and the law. The students ultimately compete in a citywide Mock Trial tournament, with many alumni of the Street Law program attending law school themselves.
The newsletter had been done only once before with very little results, and there was a desire to revive it. I wrote, edited, and designed this piece using events from the prior year to appeal to donors. The results were impressive -- going from three donors to the last newsletter appeal (including an email) to nearly 50 donors from the mailed newsletter and email. Many other Clinics at Georgetown Law wanted to even replicate the newsletter for themselves after seeing it!
