About Me |
I currently reside in Washington, DC. My personal interests include travel (I've been to 15 countries and 29 states), food and cooking, figure skating, and staying active. I also love dogs and can be found sending pictures of adoptable pups to my friends and family.

Education |
I started my college career at the liberal arts college, DePauw University, where I studied English writing and French with a minor in political science. I also served as news editor of the student run newspaper, The DePauw, where I had the opportunity to work with and interview fascinating people from students to foreign dignitaries. I transferred after two years to Michigan State University, a school my family has attended for three generations. At MSU, I found my passion when I chose to major in the professional writing program specializing in nonprofit and research writing and also pursued a minor in education studies. I graduated college in December 2014.

Professional |
I am currently between roles but have worked with organizations in Chicago and the Washington, DC area. I love fundraising and communications -- I ideally would love to stay in the nonprofit sector for my entire career. I am a member of Association of Fundraising Professionals' DC Chapter and I am actively pursuing my Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certificate. I also am trying to build a freelance business, and my work in a variety of writing styles can help your needs.
