Donor Profile
Written for Northwestern Settlement
SAMPLE PROFILE
A huge part of development is always looking for new funding sources. Northwestern Settlement often has leads on new giving sources -- both institutional and individual -- but there was no standard format as to how the research was done and presented. Donor profiles over the years varied in information (even for the same donors) and as we looked to hire a prospect researcher, it became apparent that a standardized format be introduced.
I created this donor profile for an actual prospect that I discovered while reading The Chronicle of Philanthropy's daily newsletter. However, as they do not know I did this research (and I don't want to get sued by rich people!), I have copied the format and created a John and Jane Doe profile in its place. The profile I created is now the standard format for all donor profiles with our prospect researcher on our team now, something that makes me feel proud to be a part of this legacy for years to come.
